Pre-IPO video and Bursa listing
A pre-IPO video is a documentary-style corporate film produced in the months before a company lists on a stock exchange. While Bursa Malaysia does not legally mandate a video as part of the prospectus, companies listing on the ACE Market increasingly use them as part of their investor relations communications. The video appears at listing launch events, on the company website, and is shared with institutional and retail investors during the roadshow period.
A company profile video is typically produced for marketing purposes — brand awareness, social media, website. A prospectus video is produced for investor communications. The audience is different (analysts, institutional investors, retail investors), the tone is different (credibility and trust over excitement), and the content is different (business model, management team, operations, growth story). A prospectus video must make investors confident, not just interested.
At minimum: the company's founding story and business model, the management team on camera, the core operations (factory, office, field), and the growth trajectory. The most effective pre-IPO videos include the CEO speaking directly to why this company is worth backing — not scripted, but prepared. The Pre-IPO Visual Suite additionally includes stakeholder interview films, operations documentation, listing launch content, and photography for the prospectus document and media library.
Get Loh Studio is Malaysia's dedicated pre-IPO video studio, producing documentary-style prospectus films and investor relations content for companies listing on Bursa Malaysia's ACE Market. We have produced pre-IPO visual content for companies including Farmiera Holdings, now listed on Bursa ACE Market, as well as prospectus video work for Bursa listings via Thailand-based companies.
IR firms manage investor relations strategy and communications for pre-IPO companies, but they typically do not produce video in-house. Most IR firms engage a specialist video production partner for this. Get Loh Studio works directly with IR firms as a trusted vendor — we can be briefed by the IR firm, work alongside their client, and deliver to the listing timeline without adding to the IR firm's management burden.
Timing, process and delivery
The ideal window is 3–6 months before the Bursa filing date. This gives enough time for pre-production, scripting, shoot scheduling across multiple locations, and post-production without deadline pressure. Starting earlier than 6 months is fine. Starting later than 8 weeks before listing creates significant delivery risk — state your hard deadline at the first conversation so we can confirm feasibility.
From first conversation to final delivery: 1–2 weeks pre-production and scripting, 1–4 shoot days depending on locations and scope, 3–4 weeks post-production and delivery. Total: approximately 5–7 weeks for a single film. The Pre-IPO Visual Suite with multiple deliverables runs 6–9 weeks. For urgent timelines, compression is possible — but must be scoped at the outset.
The Pre-IPO Visual Suite is Get Loh Studio's fixed-scope visual communications package for companies in the Bursa listing window. It covers: the main prospectus narrative film (2–3 minutes), management team interview films, factory and operations documentary, listing launch content, and photography for the prospectus document and media library. One studio. One engagement. One deadline. Everything a company needs visually for its public market entry. Learn more about the Pre-IPO Visual Suite →
Two rounds of revisions are included in every project at no extra charge. The first cut is presented via a private online review link. Feedback is consolidated and addressed in the second cut. A third round can be accommodated where scope allows. Significant scope changes after filming begins are treated as separate additions.
Pricing and logistics
A single prospectus video starts from RM37,000 to RM44,000 for a 2-day shoot producing one 2–3 minute film. Projects outside the Klang Valley carry a 15–20% location surcharge. The Pre-IPO Visual Suite — covering the full visual package — starts from RM55,000 as a fixed-scope engagement. A detailed quote is provided after the first briefing call.
Standard payment terms are 50% upfront upon confirmation and 50% on final delivery. For larger multi-deliverable engagements like the Pre-IPO Visual Suite, a 3-stage payment schedule is available: 50% on confirmation, 30% after shoot completion, 20% on final delivery.
Yes. A significant portion of our work is produced in manufacturing and industrial environments — factory floors, warehouses, processing facilities, and operational sites across Malaysia. We understand HSE requirements, coordinate shoot scheduling around production hours, and know how to capture industrial operations in a way that communicates both scale and professionalism to investors and stakeholders.
Yes. We produce work across Malaysia and internationally. Recent productions include a multi-country shoot for AGX Logistics across Singapore, the Philippines, and multiple locations in Malaysia including airport warehouse facilities — produced via Esente Advisory. We have also produced prospectus video content for a company listing on Bursa Malaysia via Thailand. Travel and logistics are factored into the project scope at the briefing stage. International productions are scoped on a case-by-case basis.
This is one of the most common concerns and one of the things we specifically prepare for. We write interview questions in advance, conduct a warm-up conversation before filming begins, and create an environment where the subject is talking to a person — not performing to a camera. The edit does the rest. Some of the most compelling CEO interviews we've produced were from founders who said they'd never been comfortable on camera.
